Mid day not at the oasis or thanks Brian C

Set up a very simple game using some of the figures Brian C had kindly given to me.

Cavalry about to charge the enemy hiding in the rocky terrain.
A view through the palm trees of both sides.
Infantry advancing on the left, engaging the enemy with sustained fire.
Using whatever cover was available they fire upon the advancing troops.
Using Featherstone “ Close Wars” rules mainly for this game.

  1. Excellent looking skirmish Alan. DF's Close Wars is a classic ruleset.
The figures and trees look great.

  3. You can't beat those classic black & white movies! Glad you're enjoying the figures. Mainly Hinchliffe, possibly a couple of Tradition, from around 1975 I think.

  4. Very nice set up for a skirmish, and nice rules too! I love your vegetation and scenery and think B/W photos puts it in the right classic/old school mood.
