Over the last two Fridays we have played a 28mm ACWgame at my friend’s house. The rules, the battle-
Last week we began with the Union Brigades marching along a turnpike-
In the woods the Confederates had set an ambush….
And that was where we left it due to time constraints. Yesterday began with the ambushing troops opening fire-My fellow union brigadier and confederate opponent across the table
Union troops deployed on the turnpike in an attempt to fire back.
The Union column turns into line …
Heavy fire is taken from the rebs.
A Union regiment decimated by fire.
Trying to face the ambusers emerging from the cornfield.
Union troops running away having failed to stand.
General view of the battlefield.
It was all over quite quickly with good confederate shooting combined with bad morale checks by both Union commanders. A enjoyable game and good company, who could ask for more?
A nice looking table. Good to see the Blue Bellies getting a licking.

ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun, personally, I don't think I would have enjoyed playing the Union....the outcome seemed pretty much a forgone conclusion !
