I hadn’t had R over for a game for ages, circumstances really rather than a lack of desire on the part of either of us. Anyway a date was pencilled in and arrived yesterday. I set the table up for either of the options of the day- Rapid Fire Reloaded or One Hour Skirmish-
In the end we went for One Hour Skirmish. I taught the game with just rifle armed figures. We then moved onto a bigger game involving Leaders, smg, lmg etc.
Much of the action involved the house in the above picture which changed hands many times. We played with crew served weapons too ( hmg) which worked well.
All in all a good catch up and enjoyable game which emphasises fun and action over complications.
I like the double cottage in yellow perhaps built for estate workers. Tell us the provenance of the figures and the fencing used, please.

Figures are North Star Great War, fencing made by Tidders and cottages Airfix.

I need to thank you for the heads up on One Hour Skirmish - it has reinvigorated my WW2 15mm Fall of France project a treat!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, glad to have enthused you.

Great to see you getting a game in with a friend. Would OHS work in an Old West gunfight setting?
ReplyDeleteI'll butt in and say "yes absolutely", but Ruthless (a free set) are even better! Played a few games with them now and love them..

I am interested in trying the one hour rules although I am really enjoying RF reloaded.
ReplyDeleteChanging the subject slightly. How are your various Renaissance projects coming on? I am still enthused after reading your Marian posts. Figure lists are being perused!!
Hope you enjoy them. Glad the Marian posts inspired, I look forward to hearing about your lists and take on the period.
