Arrived today.
I was fortunate to get this second hand earlier in the week-
It arrived today. The illustrations are utterly charming and inspiring.
I’ve seen this priced at quite a pretty penny’o (as Sid Kipper would have said). I used to have both books. Got rid of them because they weren’t about ‘proper wargaming’. Oh what a callow youth I was.
An oldie but a goodie. I remember it but never had it. - as per Jonathan suggestion - any chance of a quick review - especially if there are any old school rules in it? Cheers Greg
Enjoy! It is a curious beast ... The First Book is very based on updating Little Wars to WW2 https://manoftinblog.wordpress.com/2017/06/30/brian-carricks-big-wars-article/

ReplyDeleteI can’t seem to find the rules you use, can you help? Thanks.
DeleteHow about a review?
ReplyDeleteI have no knowledge of this book and would be very interested in any of your thoughts regarding it (or what Jonathan Freitag said).
ReplyDeleteWill do gentlemen but feel others have greater knowledge of the rules than me.

DeleteExcellent. I have the "First book on Wargaming", never imagined there would also be a "second book" ;-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Thoughts on it anon.
DeleteWonder if he is a relative of the 'Perries'?
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure he wasn’t. A nice thought though...
