Medieval sledges for use with 40mm figures
Today I made these wagons in the garden whilst listening to the Test Match.
Great looking sledges - excellent runners. These would do right up to the German Army/ Winter War of WW2 Spotted more ski Troops on this osprey cover https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armies-Great-Northern-1700-1720-Men-at-Arms/dp/147283349X/ref=msx_wsirn_v1_4/262-8168696-1188522?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=147283349X&pd_rd_r=dafd1be7-a472-4206-b71e-ddba3ebf8284&pd_rd_w=Gy7Iy&pd_rd_wg=PikkY&pf_rd_p=2c73497e-0658-4f6d-8f3c-06c50c0881ec&pf_rd_r=ZK9MC3WVMDM8E55266YD&psc=1&refRID=ZK9MC3WVMDM8E55266YD
Thanks, these skewers have waited patiently for years to be used, I make it a habit to retain all such sticks after eating. Wash, dry and store for a modelling rainy day. Use them as plant labels too.
Your sledges look great! I see them being employed in 1812 Russia.

DeleteVery creative, I must look out for some of those skewers.
ReplyDeleteSo handy and coffee stirrers for skis for 40mm and 54mm figures.
DeleteSounds like the perfect restful afternoon!
ReplyDeleteThe sledges are very nice - the wagon body looks like it's resin, or is it plastic?
Wagon bodies are resin but don’t know the make as they were got second hand.
