Looking for turrets.

Still trying to find suitable turrets for the interwar tank. I am happy enough with the wee ones but finding a large is proving difficult. I will add extra details with Mdf bases later. All ideas welcome.

  1. Different interchangeable central turrets are possible ... the Heinz one has an inviting opening hatch. The central turret needs height to clear field of fire over the forward turrets.

    1. Interchangeable, that is not something I considered, worth a thought.

  2. How about a dome shape for the main turret? I'm sure you can get ready made polystyrene in various sizes.....

  3. Top of a GW/Warlord/Halfords large Spray Can, height cut down if necessary? Plastic pipe from a DIY store, cut to height, with a plasticard top? Or a visit to your local supermarket - e.g. plastic coffee lids or peanut butter lids can be good, if only to provide a 'substrata' for the turret itself. PS like the idea of different interchangeable turrets (once you have figured out how to make the first)

    1. I’ve got Mdf bases which I am intending as substrata. The lid sounds as if it has potential.

  4. Hobby Craft would be a good place to look.

  5. An excuse to go food shopping looking just for the right lid?

Use the octagonal hexagonal turret as a turret base and then a shallower turret on top like the T35? http://mikessite.co.uk/2020/05
