Toy soldiers in action and in their barracks, sorry box
A a nod to the old Britains toy soldier boxes I keep my figures in coffee boxes. They work well.
When visiting my daughter in Cornwall we had coffee in Origin, Porthleven . I was most taken with it. I decided to take out a coffee subscription to support the business in these strange days- https://www.origincoffee.co.uk/collections/subscriptions?gclid=CjwKCAjwr56IBhAvEiwA1fuqGrPKca_AZjMHSv7qz0NLHuONqUGsrbDHawnfedKhqlmqpnmWlPzdGBoC3MgQAvD_BwE I have no connection with the company save as a satisfied customer.
There are several ethical coffee company suppliers supplying coffee in Cornwall and the West Country. Origin out of Porthleven / London is one B Corp one, Puro is another that supports rainforest conservation through the World Land Trust. Good to see and just as it should be ...
Nice sturdy boxes are not so easy to find anymore! A lot of them are very lightweight and do not provide safe storage for our soldiers. Your box looks great Alan! Your figures are wonderful too, I especially like the dashing officer with his sword drawn!
Honestly, that really provides some of the joyous feel.
ReplyDeleteGood to see these repairs and conversions on the tabletop in action ...
ReplyDeleteGood to combine coffee with toy soldiers too! A coffee subscription or parcel post sounds interesting ...

DeleteGreat idea. Bags of coffee from Tesco have just lost some of their appeal.
