Today I worked on the Portuguese and finished some. I also got the samples of Mdf palm trees ( a pound each) to be used as scenery in the Afrika game. They are 3mm thick and look the part. I painted them, stuck them onto Mdf bases and added a stone from the garden. Instant semi flat scenery and very simple to make. I ordered more today which should come by the end of the week.
Alan, I think this is just a brilliant little project. But then again, you've already heard me say that! Love it, keep posting.

Excellent palm trees, as full of character as the old lead ones. Good to see these semi flats painted up.

If I get some more of these flat castings done soon, I will let you know.
DeleteI feel the palm trees do stand up very well in comparison to old metal ones. They have a certain charm.
DeleteThose palm trees look the business , very O.S.
