Cheap semi flat chaps
Never seen these chaps in the flesh, sorry metal, before. I picked them up very cheaply. I think they are Schneider homecasts. I am going to repaint them. Fun old toy soldiers in need of TLC.
The figures look good to me. Maybe only touch ups would be sufficient?
ReplyDeleteI’m tempted to do more but we will see...
DeleteUnusual figures but very interesting .
ReplyDeleteI like them but perhaps an acquired taste for many?
DeleteAncient warriors in every sense!
ReplyDeleteLike ourselves? :)
DeleteThey definitely have that Schneider look to them. They were meant to be played with and enjoyed! Nice find!
ReplyDeleteI have seen drawings of them but just can’t recall where...
DeleteI did find a Schneider catalog in the Web Archive last summer:

So, I don’t think they are Schneider. I know I saw them somewhere in old catalogs though. I’ve not seen the molds for sale. :(
I have seen them somewhere but just can’t work out where. I I saw them in old catalogs too but where?
DeleteThere is a certain charm about them!
ReplyDeleteLike ourselves:)
