I enjoy my walks but feel the need to focus a little bit on more often and longer. I have let it slip from my daily walk in lockdown last year. So for that reason I downloaded an app to my phone which allows me to upload how far I walked. This is then compared to various LOTR events. Look at the display on my phone

Great idea. As you get nearer to Mordor, does the phone get heavier? My oldest son has taken to running with 30 kg of rocks on his back and he says there are health benefits.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what that says for his mental state, trouble is I remember doing something similar preparing to go to Nijmegen.
DeleteThe road truly does go ever on.
Much kudos for that quip about the photo be getting heavier Springinsfeld.
DeleteThat should say 'phone' not 'photo be'!
DeleteI was never that fit/daft even in my youth.
DeleteI too like the heavier quip.
DeleteInteresting- seems there is an APP for everything under the sun these days.
ReplyDeleteThere is!
DeleteWhat a good idea , I've never heard of this App before , watch out for cloaked riders on dark horses .
ReplyDeleteGreat fun and an encouragement too.
DeleteWe walk two miles every day and it does get a little tiresome. This is a great idea for making things a bit more interesting! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure.
DeleteI'll have to look for that. I've been walking, recording my steps, and all, but a LOTR connection would be fun.
ReplyDeleteGive it a whirl.
DeleteDoes the app have a little Sam Gamgee icon that pops up every now and again to encourage you on?
ReplyDeleteIf only...
