Restoration etc

Planning a little toy soldier restoring in the coming days…

Doing some reading outwith my normal reading material. Fascinating so far, never look at trees in the same way again.

  1. I'm looking forward to seeing the painted restorations. As for the plant kingdom I think people read too much into 'plant feelings' or 'intelligence'. No advanced brain - no intelligence, or feelings.

  2. Excellent - you can never have enough Bren carriers for a British WW2 army! And I was given that book too, but have never got round to it - maybe I should have a go. Mind you, it's in a long queue...

  3. I have a huge queue of books waiting too. I am hoping to try and source some other vehicle support for my 54mm figures, possibly 1/48 scale which works well as opposed to 1/32 which is awfully large.

  4. The Wohlleben is certainly interesting. If you'd like to know more about British trees and woodland, I very much recommend the highly readable and authoritative books of Oliver Rackham. A good start is Trees and Woodland in the British Landscape. (If you'd like a taster of his work, I can email you an article or two...)
