Chelsea Monday
Last Thursday l had a grand day out at the Chelsea Flower Show with two of my daughters. A tad chilly at times but dry it was certainly an enjoyable and inspiring day.
I like the Chelsea Pensioner statue (although if made now, it might be a female Chelsea pensioner). Thanks for sharing the photos, it gives a crowd visitor eye view of what parts I saw on the BBC coverage. Oddly Chelsea rarely inspires me to go out and garden … except with toy soldiers as Roger says. Not a garden railway anywhere. What would John Ruddle say? All At raised bed level to protect our ageing backs and creaky knees … https://manoftinblogtwo.wordpress.com/2023/10/08/by-the-sward-divided-garden-wargaming-future-past-and-present-and-john-ruddle-rip/
Very interesting slabs in your last photo. This would take 'Garden Wargaming' to another level.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same!
DeleteI must try and visit this show someday.

Very nice and I can almost smell the flowers (in my head). These days, our yard and garden tend to resemble a very natural, wild, jungle.
ReplyDeleteLooks great... we went to the nearby Chelsea Physic Garden recently which is well worth a visit if you get a chance
