    Thank you Alan. Heard the Steeleye Span version many times, and I love it. The other two are new ones on me. I particularly like Albion's version - it has a very Prog Rock feel.

    My pleasure. I too was most taken with the Albion one. Prog rock , now there’s an interesting subject. Did Finland have a prog rock scene? Thought the Kalevala might have tempted someone…

      Sorry, I’ve only just seen this. I don’t know (not big into rock music) but it would surprise me if there isn’t a Kalevala concept album and bands named after characters like Väinämöinen and Lemminkäinen. I’ve never read it myself. Apart from a kids version: the Canine Kalevala 😄.
      Got me intrigued now.
