Ronnie sent me this picture from Model World magazine in 1975 -
Brigadier Peter Young wargaming. Anyone tell us more about this photograph?
It does indeed look like Festherstone. His place or the Brigadiers? The buildings are splendid, wonder which of them made such architectural wonders, oozing charm. I agree re gallows on the hill. Is that a glass on the tabletop? Can’t identify the figures, sadly. Wonder if it is played using Charge rules. Much to ponder on. Alan Tradgardland

Hoping I'm not taking over this post but... I understand that the collection was sold to someone in America and, according to legend, the price was never paid! Any ideas about its current whereabouts?
Interesting picture. The building at the front looks like one of those German model railway, erm models. Haller? Also it looks ‘photoshopped’ on its so dark by comparison to the tone of the rest of the picture. Chris/Nundanket
Interesting observations. Faller is the name of the company you are thinking of. Looks a tad big for that and a little home made, but in a good way. The dark nature of it is very interesting… Alan Tradgardland
I see what is meant about the photo but I think that it all comes down to me photographing an old picture with my phone in less than ideal conditions. The original looks fine!

The chap on the right looks a bit like Don Featherstone. Nice buildings. In front of the Brig appears to be a model gallows.

The Brigadier was a major customer of Deltorama for buildings and Willie/Stadden for figures. And, hey, old school so a dice cup!

Yes looks like a dice cup. Buildings are lovely and hopefully preserved for the nation somewhere.

Nice. I listened to his Desert Island Discs episode recently. Hoping to try Charge! again soon - which does recommend dice cups!
