The forces of the West Mark are assembling waiting to begin their attack on the village. Their armour glints in the Spring sun. On the hill beside the forest hornblowers signal the attack. West Mark cavalry advance. On hearing the horns the alarm is raised and the keltic tribesmen grab their weapons and pour forth from the village. Let the game begin...
Delightful figures!
ReplyDeleteI have not repainted them much if any, the paint job reflects the figures very well for me. I marvel at the artistry of flat painters but really have no desire ( or ability if I am honest) to try and emulate it. That being said I marvelled at the artistry of I think Derek Guyler’s elephants.

ReplyDelete19.5 inches by 37.5 inches. Thanks for your kind comments. I try to vary things on it. It stays up all the time and allows me therefore to mull over new ideas.
DeleteA prize at my infants school (1960s) was the Ladybird book. Recently purchased a copy in fair condition....... pure nostalgia. Have picked up a few more to send to a young relative, they are still excellent starters for learning history.
