Unpacked these today, interwar cavalry, some with moveable arms. This is something I have not seen before. Would they be cast with spare arms on the same mould? I need also to think of how to replace the missing arms. Any thoughts re makers?

Not seen moving Flats before. This moving arms was often hailed as Britain's Ltd distinctive development over German made imports. Mathilde Meyer in her H G Wells memoir watching the floor game of Little Wars notes them as soldiers with moveable arms, so distinct from the continental norm she may have grown up with or seen growing up.

Depending on size, Dorset recast arms or suchlike? The one shown looks about right.

Good idea to record. I find the colours a tad garish and am tempted to repaint a a Moore homely feldgrau.
