Warmer weather of late has made it so much pleasanter to be outdoors. For walks, for breakfast and for weeding the raspberry patch and surrounding area. The rhubarb is producing its crop and is being enjoyed in various ways including as an ingredient in baking.
Yes my rhubarb is sprouting as well - once established it's hard to kill , my neighbour has some that she reckons is 50 years old !?
ReplyDeleteWe were given this by my late father in law when we moved here over twenty years ago . It is from his garden and therefore special to us. Rhubarb does seem to survive so well. The blue metal bin is my daughters successful attempt at forcing some. A micro rhubarb triangle :)
DeleteMy rhubarb patch produces every year no matter what the weather, always nice to see the sun and get a chance to potter about the garden.
ReplyDeleteGarden pottering is great and really helped in Lockdown one . Rhubarb makes such great puddings etc.
DeleteBreakfast outdoors? How civilized!
ReplyDeleteA simple yet wonderful pleasure.
DeleteStrawberry and rhubarb pie is my favorite! I see that you have your copy of Bleisoldaten, I hope you are enjoying it! Your stone wall is gorgeous, glad to see that you are having nice weather!
ReplyDeleteGreat book with a most intriguing game board photographed at the end. Sadly the stonewall picture is taken on a local walk not in the garden.
DeleteThanks! I enjoy recording the Seasons etc.
