In Albion (4) the Tournament
The day of the grand tournament has arrived. Spectators flock to see the spectacle under a brilliant sun.
And here is the book that gave me the idea for the above-
Splendid spectacle - I like the varied civilians - there are fun foot tournament and mounted jousting rules in Featherstone’s Solo Wargaming ‘Wargaming In Bed’ http://www.wargaming.co/recreation/details/dfsolo.htm
Wonderful looking scenes! I love those Britain's mounted knights. About 5 or 6 years ago, they were often available quite inexpensively on eBay, but it seems their prices have gone up quite a it. I could kick myself for not buying them back then!
Looks like a splendiddistraction for a warm spring day in Albion. I am sure tge spectators were suitably impressed.
ReplyDeleteWeather held for them thankfully, a grand day out.
DeleteThese have been fun reading.
ReplyDeleteDelighted you enjoyed it.

ReplyDeleteThanks. I look forward to trying the rules out…
DeleteA very interesting diversion and colourful too.
ReplyDeleteWhen can we expect an update in the sidebar of what you're reading and watching or is Duffy so dull a writer you've still not finished?
Stephen
A useful and timely reminder Stephen, thank you. I have remedied the situation.
DeleteThat is a nice little contrast of eras - great idea.
ReplyDeleteA most enjoyable conceit to set up.
DeleteThe video was entertaining too
