The Ostmerk troops are coming along on the painting table. I have put aside the problematic tankettes and concentrated on infantry and a few high command figures. The MLS figures are a joy to paint and seem take paint so much more easily than many others I have worked or perhaps it is just my enthusiasm for the project.

  1. They are cracking figures aren't they ! - going high gloss for mine , I've done my vehicles high gloss as well to look like the old tin plate toys of my distant childhood .

    1. Just used gloss on mine too, still not glossy enough imho. Tried gloss on the vehicles too but not 100% happy with what I have achieved.

  2. I always find these British Pathe videos so informative. It was especially good to see how pontoon bridges are made.

    1. Good wasn’t it. Probably no change in the technique or technology for hundreds of years.
Those tanks were dwarfed by the armoured cars.
Thanks for showing the videos Alan.
