St Mawes

Took the ferry to St Mawes. The weather was kind to us but the journey was a tad windy at times.

Back at Falmouth we went here-https://www.thecornishkitchen.com/shop/bakery
where I had a delicious Lamb and Mint pasty. Then off to the art gallery…

    1. We were fortunate to get generally much better weather than had been forecast. Rain didn’t stop play but not loads of full sun about. For example last year in was very hot allowing sea swimmers at St Mawes whilst this year they only popped in briefly.

  2. I remember an idyllic day in St Mawes many years ago, swimming near the marina.
Did you get to the castle?

    1. I went to the castle last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year I went up the hill in the town to see the churches, holy well , views and general ambiance. Met the others at “The Rising Sun” for a swift half prior to getting the boat back.

    1. Is is a lovely village. The boat ride from Falmouth gives you the illusion of almost travelling to another island some distance away.
