Or to be more accurate Wild Man. Been working on these figures today-
This splendid set of two figures is based on this-“ The fight in the forest” by Hans Burgkmair.
The adventures of an 18th century imagination, located in Northern Europe formerly ruled over by joint rulers Duke Karl Frederick and Duchess Liv.Not to mention the American colony of Ny Tradgardland the 17th century Colony of New Tradgardstadt and the newly restored territory of the Shetland Isles. Featuring a supporting bill of gaming in a diversity of times, places and scales.Hopefully something to interest all who pop by...

Probably just having a quiet day in the forest and this knight and his chums appear from nowhere…
Very nice!! I really like the wild man although I think the knight may get the better of him!!
ReplyDeleteWild, he looks absolutely livid ... a great pair of figures and what a superb adornment to the Danish coat of arms ... a change from ‘our’ familiar fantastical Lion and Unicorn.
DeleteMy money would be on the knight too!

The coat of arms is splendid isn’t it , wildmen feature quite a bit in heraldry-
