Making plans for Midgard

The goblins have stalled. The bag seems so daunting. I just haven’t vibed painting. All efforts start enthusiastically then splutter to a halt. So I thought and recalled my 18mm Wiglaf miniatures ! They were found without too much hassle thankfully as the recent shed sorting has resulted in a hernia!

Shuggled a tad but they have survived thankfully. So l dived into the box…
They are individually based and I have no desire to rebase them. I then played around with a paper pattern for a potential base size. The above picture shows the idea.
They are lovely figures bought from a friend mainly and all professionally painted.
I had forgotten their charm and am pleased to see them once more. This is a way forward…
P.s shamefully I get Wiglaf and Whigfield confused in my mind😂

  1. Great figures Alan, definitely worth getting out of the box.
That song's going to be stuck in my head again...

  2. They are nice figures, I remember seeing them with their first owner..

I have also pre-ordered Midgard and am hoping it will make me get the Arthurians back on the tabletop again. I do need to go through all the Dark Age armies and make some repairs for all the missing spears that have popped off over the last few years.

  3. A Whigfield army sounds terrifying!!

The Wiglaf miniatures are lovely... if I habit already gone down a 28mm route with my Dark Ages armies I'd definitely have opted for them.

  4. Very nice miniatures, they look really good. I may have a look at them myself in the near future. Whigfields "Saturday Night" will be whirring around my brain all night now!!
