And now for something completely different or the horror, the horror!

Branching out in my modelling, a wee estate loco for the garden railway. Even with instructions and an article in a garden railway glossy this is daunting!
Making a start.
Other stuff on the painting desk, plastic and resin.

  1. Interesting project Alan. Your workbench are much tidier than mine. During this summer mine has become more of a storage of half finished projects. It's either been too much work or to nice weather to sit down and finish them.
    -But I will eventually do.

    1. It remains clean briefly then goes wild again. It’s like fighting weeds in the garden.

  2. That should keep you out of mischief for a bit. Looks a well designed kit. The crucial bit is the meshing of the gear and worm - that well defined area of "not too tight, not to slack" :-)

  3. A good looking model that I'm sure will be worth the effort and will be a pleasure to see chuffing around the railway. From your snippet the instructions seem to be clear and detailed.
    Best wishes, James

  4. That looks head-scratchingly complicated! Mind you I just sent my great-nephew some Lego kits for his birthday... handt realised it came with 67 pages of instructions!!! My sister's cursing me as she's the one thats having to help build it! 🤣
