Walk

Left the house before 08:00 for a walk locally-

Most enjoyable, followed by a scone and coffee uptown. When rebasing my figures l couldn’t help but admire the painting skills of whoever painted these figures l got at some point off eBay, especially the snake-

I am pleased to be able to give these veterans the chance to fight again, hoping that their anonymous painter would be pleased…
A quiet day of pottering, painting and Test Match on the radio is the order of the day l think.

  1. Lovely day for a walk, the sun has finally come out!! The figures look great, some nice work on the shields and it's great that they live to fight another day.

  2. Nice to be up and out early Alan.
With you on the painting. In its way, the shield with the triangle pattern on the rim is more impressive in its regularity.

Those hoplites look marvellous. Your re-basing brings these 'old boys' back to fight another day!

    1. It is a lovely local walk.
I am glad to support elderly and decrepit figures like myself.

  5. Good to get out and about for a bit of fresh air and exercise, and the painting skill on display with the shield designs is very impressive.

  8. Looks like a splendid walk! Was up bright and early yesterday myself. The dog's internal clock seems off these days. So we were out bright and early. Much grumbling from me but very enjoyable once out.

    1. I’m a morning person, seemingly unable to sleep beyond 05:15 most days. Going out early can be a relief and or pleasure after an early rise.

  9. There's a strange yellow thing in the sky... I thought that had been missing in Scotland for a while!
