Saturday

Had a rare day at home yesterday . I painted and assembled figures, listened to podcasts whilst doing so . I decided last week to get some 28mm German paratroopers for a game I am hosting next week. They arrived on the 12th and I got stuck in early morning and later evening to move them forward-

I had enjoyed making the freebie ones from Wargames Illustrated this month plus I found two metal samples a friend had given me. So that was enough for a skirmish…
Hmm I thought, maybe a bigger game is in order and succumbed to a box from Warlord.
They fit together very nicely, a little fiddly at times for my old fingers but great figures. It is so nice to use plastic cement as opposed to super glue. Sticks quickly and most importantly it doesn’t glue my fingers together, a terrific bonus.
So got to here , scruffy but little effort and they will be fine. In other news set up the tree only to find lights kaput, will need to be replaced prior to decorating.
Finally congratulations to this year’s Strictly winner, a terrific effort. Standard was very high indeed in the final.

  1. Weird serendipity that I should be randomly posting old unposted blog posts for Blogvent featuring German paratroops for the last two days.

I trust you have your shoe box and circles of paper for scattered drop deployment
