Winter manoeuvres with John Ruddle figures

I set this up this morning. My JR figures out on manoeuvres between Christmas and New Year-

I do like a bit of toy soldier terrain in the form of sticks from the garden as fallen trees.
The newly bought river pieces work fine as a stream for 54mm figures.
Lemax walling and trees are great sources of toy soldier terrain .
Staff Officers here to watch the action from near and far.

I am going to post some close up of the figures later…

  4. At first, I thought it was a civil war but then I guessed it was just pretend fighting. I love the 54mm figures and terrain. James of Quantrill's Toy Soldiers.

  6. This charming scene really evokes childhood memories. Of course, my own boyhood in the 1970s consisted of green and blue army men, tanks, etc. But had I possessed some of these beauties at eight, nine, 10, or 11, I'd like to think that I might have done something similar during Christmas holidays.

    Kind Christmas Week Regards,

  7. A delight to see Ruddles back in action or winter exercises. John Ruddle would be so pleased that his outdoor garden figures are in action, indoors or out. Thanks for my Christmas gift of a Ruddle figure too. I shall post him on my blog soon, once I have promoted him to special rank or worked out who he might become.
