It’s just too hot for me personally.
I enjoyed a read in the garden having undercoated some figures but the temperature was rising. Daughter no 2 suggested a trip to Aberdour for a sea swim etc. It was a busy train that took us to a seaside idyll. The breeze keeping the temperature down pleasantly. She swam, I dozed and then had an excellent ice cream from a vendor who set up an awning near the beach.
On the figure front the simple conversion work proceeds well, the figures being transformed by a simple paint job. Heads have been ordered and l must get a few more bases too. An Osprey book on the Austro Hungarian army of WW1 provided another conversion idea , simple but effective.
What a beautiful spot. I approve of your mug choice too. EB are absolutely the zenith of mug design. Straight sided, a wide base and just the right amount for those who leave their tea bag in while drinking.

ReplyDeleteI very much envy you your seaside escape; here in the middle of England it has been over 30 degrees and the nights very humid. Lucky you!

ReplyDeleteYeah, I am not a fan of sun and heat either. It's been around 95F/35C here, and weeks without rain. This is in Oregon. I can't even think about places such as Arizona. Give me cool weather and some rain any day! I am so looking forward to fall/autumn. 9 years ago today I was in Scotland, enjoying places such as Eilean Donan castle.
