Field Day

The new recruits from Ruddle’s County are having a field day .

Here we see Major Roddy Maclean and The Loch Dubh Rifles on manoeuvres.
The Lochdubh Rifles form a firing line…
The Major is pleased with his men and how they have adjusted to their new quarters.
Meanwhile The Strathbrane Volunteers use cover effectively

An eagle’s eye view of the proceedings.

  2. For some reason your opening sentence brings to mind the buffet car on the Intercity 125 out of Kings Cross in the 80s.
Nice weather for some garden gaming!

  5. The Stratbrane Volunteers seem to have literally and figuratively mastered the spade--a critical skill in Wellesian warfare.

  7. Awesome figures and great 'battlefield'.
It's like photographing model railways; You get the best photos outside in the sunlight.

  9. This takes me back to my own days playing in the sun at my grandparents' place in the country. Although my own soldiers at that time were green plastic, rather than these fine specimens.

    Kind Regards,
