Nights are drawing in…

The nights are fair drawing in. I’m considering getting a daylight bulb to aid painting on dreich days. Does anyone use them and how do you find them?

  1. I have two in angle poise lamps. The light colour is less "yellow" if that makes sense, not as good as natural light, but better than normal light bulbs.
The only downside is that it can dry your paint out more quickly so you need to consider a wet palette or similar.

  2. I use a fairly smart LED lamp now. It has variable settings and brightnesses and colour tones.

  3. I've daylight bulbs in my Ott lights for years now. Even when I paint during the day. I need the extra light. And like the natural-looking light to get a good idea of colors.

  5. Other than three remote dimmable bulbs all my lamps and overhead lights are daylight.
I prefer them for reading and all other activities
