Samwell Piepen,an ambassador from the neighbouring Duchy of Humperstein is reviewing the Changing of the Guard near the Ducal Palace in Tradgardland. He is accompanied by his new friend, Shredni Vastari, the ambassador from Borduria. They have much to talk about as they stroll together in the woods. A palace servant calls Vastari away to Court business leaving Samwell alone .Lost in a reverie of his own making he is startled by ethereal pipe music and turns to see a figure emerging from the trees. Samwell can hardly believe his eyes.
Their eyes meet ,a certain sympathy is exchanged before the faun slips away ...
Ha! Tradgardland is a magical place!
ReplyDeleteA veritable Arcadia. The Prince Bishop of Arnheim is eager to add a satyr to his menagerie, so he can cock a snook at his arch enemy the Margrave of Trompenburg and say he has tamed Arcadia... a troop of jaegers is being prepared to make a foray into the Tradgardland forests (on the sly of course).
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to get that Ral Partha satyr for a while now, let me know if you see another!!
Tell me the uniform details for Trompenburg and I might paint up a jaeger or two to make that foray...
DeleteWe will watch closely here for jaegers...
ReplyDeleteThe satyr is of unknown make to me ( at least at this early point in the morning) but I will try to recall where I bought him from not too long a go...
nice little scene
ReplyDeleteno sign of a lamp post or the wardrobe ? :)

I'm pleased to see Samwell arrived safely. Not too sure of the company he's keeping though.
ReplyDeleteTradgarland is certainly a magical place. I wonder if Wolfinstein should send an Envoy?
ReplyDeleteWe would be most eager to have an Envoy from Wolfinstein...
