If you been waiting for ...

If you been waiting for a reply to an email or wondered where my comments on your  blog has been absent, here is the answer.  Over the last few days I developed a horrible and had a high fever. Quite understandable that a Covid  test way required ( 16:30 and results by 09:30 before I could get appointment with my gp. It was a negative result. Spoke the gp yesterday and got antibiotics today. The chest infection has left me washed  out plus stressed out. The last month let alone year has taken its toll. I am exhausted . I enjoyed reading email and blog posts today and will comment over the coming days, Last year I tackled Lockdown with hobby projects and daily post. I think l will need to come with a different plan of action...

  1. Take it easy. A chest infection will knock it out of you. I remember rushing back to work years ago after a chest infection and then regretted it for weeks afterwards. Mind how you go.

  4. So sorry to hear. Feel better. Listen to books-on-tape and period music, maybe you'll be inspired for the future!

  14. Get well soon, rest and don't rush back - it is partly the strange year catching up with you all.

The Audio books is a good recovery plan - our local library services has a free digital subscription service as many branches are still closed. Worth checking yours. I have just finished listening / enjoying from this source the future apocalyptic airship steam punk book Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve whilst flocking and basing vintage Airfix including some of your tricornes. When not listening to audio books whilst painting etc, I also try and play music to the figures whilst painting them, appropriate period music or suitable film themes from YouTube etc.
You could also plan out your day with BBC Sounds downloads - lots of documentaries, comedy etc in the absence of your beloved cricket.
Blog post when you feel like it ... no pressure, no rules ... even just the odd random picture for Flat Friday is fun ...

  15. Only plan of action is to get well soon! Suspect your best course of action is lots of rest... I know, impossible.

  24. Alan, if the weather has turned in Scotland, as it has here in England, it should counter the various health issues that seem to be circulating, and not just Covid. Get well!
