Looking forward towards the next six months

Been thinking today that not a lot is going to be different over the coming months in terms of seeing folk and going places. Not even much on the horizon on face to face gaming front. During the week I enjoyed a local autumnal walk.

I am beginning to plan what projects to work on and what to mothball. A range of scales and periods seem a plan. Over the coming days the mothballed will be put away in the shed and the things to be worked on will be brought inside the house. Horizons seem to be shifting inwards, courses on line only and travel a distant memory.Although sunny today I am pretty sure that it was near zero overnight. Can’t seem to shift an alternating stuffed up nose/ sneezing cold , not Covid related. Sorry for this melancholic post ,normal service will be resumed soon.

  1. Agreed. Sometimes there is nothing like a nice, long walk to think things over quietly in a way that being at home does not permit. Autumn is my favorite season for walking a a variety of other outdoor activities.

    Best Regards,

  2. My wife and I are regretting the fact that our walking has been curtailed somewhat by the darker evenings. I expect to be switching over from Marching Season to Painting Season.

I suppose with less daylight and colder weather, thoughts are bound to become more introspective.

    1. Looking forward to seeing what you are painting, btw do you use a daylight bulb to paint by. I am pondering whether to buy one or not.

  4. A seasonable plan to put some things aside, hunker down, scale down, keep busy and get some fresh air and sunshine when you can whilst you wait for Spring.
Regarding travel, most of It will all still be there next year ...

p.s. Bet the things you plan to bring and do inside are not as tempting as the things you store away in the shed ... shiny syndrome!

    1. Shiny syndrome, so true! Very seasonable truths too.
