Sitrep

My plans for the the rest of the week have changed greatly . I was due to travel today to London for the weekend with my eldest. We were due to visit a number of exhibitions over the weekend and I was off to a Church day conference on Saturday. However Zoe’s asthma has flared badly , she is now rattling with with the amount of steroids and antibiotics taken! She is unable to travel and the trip has been postponed until next year. I am administering TLC and coffees etc. Thankfully she is moving forward but taking it very easy.

As a result l have had some unexpected hobby time. This has been put to good use starting an 1808 Norwegian unit for The Silver Bayonet, painting some wolves etc and starting on some splendid old school figures from Broadsword Miniatures-

Do pop over via the link above, you will be very tempted. He has a link to photos of the whole range there too. Lastly a ski troop photo, to start your day seasonally-

  1. Hello old chap,

Sorry to hear Zoe is unwell and that the plans for London have been postponed. I hope she gets better soon and don't worry, London will still be there!

At least you can use your time in other directions - very intrigued by the Silver Bayonet so will watch your progress with interest.

    Love the ski trooper!

    All the best,

    DC

  7. How disappointing for both of you! Praying a swift recovery. Excited to see the Hinchcliffe/Broadsword figures and more of the Silver Bayonet!

  8. I feel for Zoe. As a lifetime sufferer from asthma I rely on the marvels of modern medication to keep me going. If I was still being treated as I was (head over a bowl of hoy water breathing noxious fumes) I think I'd be gone long ago. It is also quite a worry for those watching a sufferer fight for breath, as Mrs J will attest. Stay well and be safe.

    1. Thanks Joppy. I too am kept going on modern asthma medication. My great granny, Granny Mackay, evidently lived in a room with steaming kettles to help her.
