It has been a shock ( really ought not to be) that the weather has broken and rain or dark skies have returned here in the Duchy. I have done little on the hobby front, apart from reading and pottering. Sleep eludes me much of the night and I am very tired as a result. It is excellent to be back volunteering in school and to be helping once more.
A number of wee plans to celebrate the Duchy’s Fifteenth Anniversary are proceeding, more of this anon. Cricket on the wireless is a joy as ever and I was reading in a book on 18th century Edinburgh that it was the English army that brought the game to Scotland around 1746. Evidently it became popular amongst the upper reaches of society later in the century! I must investigate further.
My inability to locate anything in the lead mountain continues to frustrate. It is my own fault. I tidy and put away in the shed but make no note, mental or otherwise, where I put things. That which I want or need is always in the least accessible place and turns out to be something different when I get there. When the weather improves I need to haul everything out , sort it and label it…
Finally in a effort to downsize is anyone interested in my Wars of Oz kickstarter figures and rules which I know I will never use? Free to a good home apart from you donating to a charity of your choice.
