Midnight at the oasis, part the second
Set up a small skirmish with my Lamming Egyptians…
Pharaoh gets ready to lead his army into battle against the rebels…
Lamming (possibly not that early spearman pose!) always have a nice, chunky, solid feel.Bill and Renee Lamming were two of the nicest people in the hobby.
What an absolutely splendid looking game. I have some 15mm New Kingdom Egyptians in the painting queue for DBA, they won't look half as nice as these I'm sure.
Thanks. I am sure your chariots will look resplendent when painted. The Lamming are pared down and simple. Something l find charming and perhaps not a little nostalgic. Alan Tradgardland
You set the Old School tone with B&W photos.
ReplyDeleteMost kind sir!

I thought your oasis caught that classic look too.
ReplyDeleteCivil War in Egypt - couldn't they just have one crown each?
Thanks Duke. I will ask them what they think of your political solution and let you know.

ReplyDeleteI do like the look of Lammings. I wish I had met them properly. I think they served me at a show way back in the day.

The black and white photos are a great look.
ReplyDeleteThank you.

DeleteThe pics remind me of Charles Grant's Ancient Wargame book.
ReplyDeleteHigh praise indeed.

Agree with the others about the Old School look. Morschauser meets Grant.

Those old Lammings do have a real charm, don't they? And as others have said, the b/w pictures certainly give them that 1970s/Charles Grant look. :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
David.
