The fine weather continued yesterday and l spent much of the day in the garden hedge cutting and weeding. The wet weather combined with a disinclination on my part ( partly due to the weather and an utter failure to grow from seed due to voracious slugs) has meant there is much to do prior to the onset of winter. I did have time to continue the 40mm rebasing and I have already run out of bases.
My daughter sat out on her return from work with a cup of tea and chatted as I weeded. A pleasant end to the afternoon…
Splendid looking 40mm there !
ReplyDeleteOld school toy soldier fun at its best imho.
ReplyDeleteDreich and cold weather has returned this morning ☹️

Still warm, sunny summer weather here but nights are getting chilly. I await the dead of winter for pruning. Cool nights and shorter days are a reminder to begin planning a fall, figure priming regime to lay in a stock of ready-to-paint figures before it becomes too cold.
ReplyDeleteRevasing is catching. I have a small scale project with my Carlist forces. Weeding and priming seem to be the important chores now, but chatting and weeding looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to finally see some sun in Scotland but as you say it's back to dreich weather. Your 40mm soldiers will look great on the table, the horse grenadiers are very nice indeed.
