Games

I have been playing a few games enjoyably over the last few days. Firstly dark age skirmishing using the dbv rules in my weekly Zoom game hosted by my regular opponent and against a mutual friend. As ever the game was exciting, the factors and rules carried in our heads. Also been playing at home-

I really enjoyed a small Ancients battle using the On Hour Rules, simple but effective system. The girls and I played our first game of Flamme Rouge. We found it really engaging with excitement mounting as the race progressed. Definitely a family favourite in the making. I would recommend it to anyone, simple to learn but full of tactical challenges, super.

  1. Thank you! My wife ( a competitive cyclist in her university days) will love this game. I have found it on Amazon and will surprise her with it for her birthday in May. We enjoyed a game of backgammon late last night by the way. She beat me soundly.

    Best Regards,

    Stokes

    1. Haven’t played Backgammon for years, must look it out...
I do hope you all enjoy the game as much as we do and look forward to hearing how your wife gets on in Flamme Rouge.
