Guiding

I am really enjoying do a weekly guiding slot in Edinburgh. Yesterday l was in a mid Eighteen Century Daraper’s shop. I like the interaction with the public, helping enhance their  visit and understanding of time and place. The visitors are encouraged to touch things and explore for themselves also.

  1. Tradgardmastare,

Good for you! Is it a National Trust of Scotland or similar property?

    All the best,

    1. Edinburgh has a lot to offer. I was fascinated on my travels to see the Signet Library was doing afternoon teas!

  3. What a great place to guide at. What's the best / most unusual question you've had so far?
Encouraging that people are allowed to touch objects - how do they work around Covid restrictions?
If you are ever in Bath, visit the Royal Crescent regency house museum, excellent guides who answered all those horrible history questions about everyday Georgian life with great patience https://no1royalcrescent.org.uk
