Foraging in the new norm

I go uptown to the shops once a week, early by nine o’clock. It is quiet and much  preferred thus to me. I  pop into WH Smith’s briefly, the Works , Two charity shops and other places as required very briefly. This is preceded by an m&s coffee. Last week I picked up these-

They will be used for winter scenery for games as a change from Lemax trees.  Probably be used in skirmishes and the Portable Wargame.

  1. Nice haul. I've found I don't pop into $ stores or other shops has much now. Not a bad thing as I don't buy things that mostly take up space but I miss the hunt.

    1. I go once a week if that. I too enjoy the hunt and the way unexpected items cause your hobby plans to veer off course towards an interesting diversion prior to coming back on course...

  3. This time of year is good for unearthing potentially useful bits and bobs. That building looks particularly good.

  4. Interesting, so you have non-essential shops still open where you are? Of course some would deem The Works as essential! I have a couple of those buildings, I think, and they are going to be quite useful..

    1. Scotland has the tier system so currently shops are open where I am. They are of course much quieter than usual. The Works is so handy at times.
