First attempt at flat scenery

My samples of Mdf blanks arrived. I began to paint some and set the flats up on the table. Apologies for the photo quality.

    1. In spite of the appalling photos and an inability to find the optimum way of making them stand I am very pleased with the results. I want the scenery to store flat so I trying to find a way of attaching a hinged stand at the back, hinging on maybe masking tape...

      am wondering about

  2. Hello there tradgardmastare,

They are really nice looking and did I spot some tanks in the corner? Did you have these cut to order? I am planning something similar to use with my block armies so any pointers would be be appreciated!

    All the best,

    1. They are not cut to order and are available off the virtual shelf from Fairydust shop at Amazon or Etsy. I searched for Mdf laser cut blanks and loads came up in lots of different sizes. You did indeed spot tanks! They may make special items up I don’t know. I look forward to seeing where you go with this...

  3. Like the fact they do recognisable trees.... Have you seen any Scots pine?

    1. I haven’t found any Scots Pines yet but will let you know if I do.

  4. The scenery looks great! These remind me of Morschauser’s grid game where scenery is on the lines between squares rather than filling them.
