A game and some craft

Was over at P’s today , first session of our current ACW game-

My troops moving to out flank the enemy.
Enemy skirmishers in the woods awaiting my fellow general’s advance …
Confidently marching down the road with a picture below of the battle in the cornfield.

Also I saw another post box topper. I had seen one locally and saw another today in Linlithgow. No idea who makes them but they look terrific-

  2. Potty Time and Michael Bentine are not dead, they are alive and living in wool on a postbox somewhere in Scotland! I have photos of a Star Wars knitted postbox to save for a suitable Geek Pride day post sometime. https://manoftinblogtwo.wordpress.com/2022/06/10/michael-bentine-potty-time-and-the-potty-khyber-pass/

How marvellous, so pleasing, brings a smile to the face. We had locally Jubilee Toppers, presume it's sparked folk,s imagination. On Wednesday we were out walking, in Harpenden, in a visit, and we found miniature houses made of blocks of wood with felt? roofs, placed on the grass verge. Further on, little dolly type figures, more houses, like Little People. Would be great to think the work of a small child, but suspect a child more our age! Perhaps mum was giving their imagination a bit of solidity.

    1. We had similar along the disused railway line which first arrived during lockdown in order to cheer folk up. Ours have been added to since periodically.
