Old School Civil war was the order of the day- Ronnie commanded Parliament and I for the King. Minifigs, Airfix and felt were the order of the day. Circumstances prevented the game being completed but rest assured another game in on the cards sooner or later.
Wonderfull! A real inspiration for me as I am building up both forces in an "old school" project, all Hinchliffe so far but Minifigs and Warrior will be added that's for sure!

It's good to see so many horse in the balance between horse and foot. It evokes the period and stops it being Napoleonic with pikes.

I do like a bit of ECW cavalry plus dragoons.

So good to see. I sold a lot of 25mm ECW recently but kept the earliest S range Minifiigs (the range before most of those shown). Despite the Parliamentain musketeers having lobster pot helmets they such nice figures and were the first metal army I had, around 1972. The Airfix thatched cottage is still made (by Dapol) and seen on many a wargame table, including mine. It is such a classic.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Your selling will certainly bring joy to others.Glad to have brought back happy memories.

Very inspirational and opening up new temptations. After all what harm could a few more boxes of figures do?
ReplyDeleteVery true, go for it!
