Had an excellent Christmas Day with great food and folk but circumstances prevailed against opening more than one present ( time ) and the taxi home ( pre booked) never turned up. My sister in law who had hosted stepped into the breach and drove us home. A big thanks go to her !
On Christmas Eve , after Church and Prost coffee, en route to pick up the turkey l popped into Waterstones. I could resist these splendid wolves as a wee gift for the 54mm orcs-

ReplyDeleteStephen’s Day and the “Good King Wenceslas looked out / on the Feast Of Stephen” carol (insert own pizza jokes here) always reminds me of these 1973 Royal Mail Christmas stamps by David Gentleman that I remember on envelopes when a small child - I was fasc8nated that stamps could be collected to tell a picture story.
