Sunny here in the Duchy yesterday. The day began with sorting my eldest’s vintage chins collection and putting it into solid plastic storage boxes in the shed thus freeing up some floor space in my room.
I took the chance to sort my boardgames.
Ivor was a bargain in a charity shop and is an enjoyable game with lovey components and map. If I were arty I always fancied producing my own counters and using the map for a VBCW game...
Jan was never one for games really. When the girls were small I played boardgames with them and she did craft with them, an equitable division of labour. Years ago friends brought ‘Ticket to Ride” round and amazingly Jan really liked the game. We think of her when we play it . I never have worked out how to play the LOTR card game sadly. I think that Tokaido is my favourite. It is a calming game of journeying in Edo Japan and quite entrancing to play. Well worth seeking out.
